Ahhh, there’s nothing better than homemade! There’s something to be said for growing and sourcing your own ingredients. Here are some recipes that my family enjoys throughout the seasons… especially when the winter doldrums have taken a firm grip.
Pesto

Salsa
Sometime during the late 1990's, the wife and I attended a Christmas show in one of the many convention centers in Charlotte. I managed to get sucked into one of the anti-rooms where someone was doing a demonstration of some device, tool, or appliance. I walked out of the $20 lighter but I still have the salsa maker, and more importantly, I still have the recipe for the most delicious salsa you've ever had.
Fresh Corn Salad
I found this recipe years ago in a random magazine while in the supermarket line. I took a quick picture with my phone and recreated it with my modifications. This side dish is a family favorite due to all of combined flavors and is extremely refreshing when served refrigerated.
